We found the staff to be rude and unhelpful. The cleanliness of the room was sub-standard, there were holes in the towels, and cigarette burns in the curtains. The hotel did not live up to its description as per the website. Breakfast was budget cereal and juice and some egg and cheese. We were never greeted by any of the hotel staff. The overall price of the hotel was far too expensive, for what we paid we expected much much better service.

The location was very good and the price was great. I would have given a really good review of the hotel but we came home with bed bug bites and so I cannot recommend it to anyone.

We got home and my boyfriend is covered in bed bug bites. We were in room 103 and I strongly suggest you treat this room for bed bugs so that nobody else has to be bitten. Now I am worried in case we brought any back with us. It is a shame because I otherwise really liked the hotel, but please deal with the bed bug problem!!!

Although the accommodations lacked at least the staff was nice enough to change out the dirty, old, blanket that was full of hair on our bed, once we requested the change. The old, yellow, stained shower curtain was changed out while we were there as well, and we didnt have to request it :) The bathroom was clean in our ensuite. The location is a block away from Queens way main street with restaurants.

We are a couple in our 30's and well traveled. Here is my opinion: The entrance was run down and lacked invitation for the price. Girl behind desk was sullen and could care less if we booked the hotel. The room was #404 and was on the 7th floor of very steep stairs. No lift. Usually we wouldnt care but his was a little much after walking all over london for 3 days. The room was so small that we dint have have any place to put one of the backpacks. The bedspread was old and smelt. The blanket on our bed was old and had back hair all over our sheets- we are both blonde. The curtains we torn and raggedy. The floor was stained and gross. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was ok. You can toast your bread, hard boiled eggs overcooked, and the juices were powder drinks and so watered down. Not worth the money and listen to the other reviews!

    Location

Breakfast was supposed to be from 8-10am in the weekends but it turned out 07:30-09:30. We arrived at 09:25 but the door was already shut!!

    Exceptional

Excellent value for money for the Bayswater area. Room was a large size and very clean, reception staff were friendly and helpful and included breakfast was good value for being included in room price.

My stay was ruined by the behaviour of fellow guests and the poor resonse of staff to my complaints. I was woken at 2am by a party of women arriving noisily at a room near mine. At 4.30 a group of men arrived, obviously drunk or drugged. They ran up and down the stairts directly over my room, banging on doors and shouting. I went to investigate the sound of snoring outside my door, and found two young men asleep unconscious outside my room. I decided to leave the hotel, and rang down to reception on three separate occasions. The first time nothing was done, despite an assurance that it would be dealt with. The second time the night porter came up, and I heard him attempt feebly to awake the men. He then went downstairs and failed to ring me back to tell me what action would be taken. The third time, only after I had threatened to ring the police, he came up again, but was obviously afraid to wake them. He said he could not find the master key to the room where he thought they should have been in. In the meantime they continued to oibstruct the exit to the stairs. I decided to leave the hotel, as the situation was not only unpleasant but also unsafe, and went down to reception with him. Up to this point I had not received even the courtesy of an apology. At reception I asked for a refund, as the service offered had clearly been below marketable quality. He said he was not authorised to make a refund. Repeated (apparent) attempts to ring the manager to deal with both the dangerous situation and the refund elicited no reply. I was unable to wait for the manager in person to apear (which would allegedly have happened at 0700) but was assured that I would be contacted by the manager as soon as he came in, with an account of what action had been taken, an apology, and to discuss a refund for this truly shocking experience.

    Location

Very basic room, shabby furniture. Breakfast room too small, queuing to get in for poor basic breakfast.

    Good

Clean, nice breakfast, near to the city center, good value for the money, there was no available single rooms for me so they gave me a 4 beds room for the same price.

    Very good

I asked for an extra heater because the room was cold due to the old fashioned sash windows

The manager was of the opinion that the room was warm enough despite leaving the heater

    Exceptional

Good room, excellent vale for money! The hotel is also less than 5 min walking from bayswater or 10 from queensway.

Pity there was no WiFi in the room, this is however mentioned in the description.

    Very good

For the price I paid, the room was a fair deal. It was very clean and the location was absolutely fantastic. There was minimal noise (considering we were in london!)

The room was very small. The radiator was also on max so we had to open the window in the middle of the night to keep cool, which was a bit of a waste of energy.
